Those elected must be in full communion with the congregation, be over 18 years of age and can be of either sex. The numbers elected must in no way exceed the numbers of elders at the date of election.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The responsibilities of the Board are to<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; manage the finances of the congregation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; raise income as required<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; look after the property of the church<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; set the salaries of the organist and church officer<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; decide on the fees for weddings (\u00a3100 at present) and funerals (none)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The secretary of the Board is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Mrs M Harper<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congregational Board The Congregational Board consists of the minister along with a certain number of elders and communicant members who are elected at the Stated Annual Meeting of the congregation.
