Girls’ Brigade

1st New Cumnock Girls’ Brigade

We are a company within the South Ayr Division of Girls’ Brigade Scotland.

We meet each Monday night at 6pm until 7.30pm in New Cumnock Parish Church Halls from September until April

  • There are three sections in Girls’ Brigade:-
    • Explorers is for girls in P1 – P3
    • Juniors is for girls in P4 – P7
    • Brigaders is for girls at Secondary School
  • We have a uniform which can be ordered through the company captain
    • Explorers – Red Sweatshirt, plain white polo shirt and black skirt or trousers
    • Juniors – Royal Blue Sweatshirt, plain white polo shirt and black skirt or trousers
    • Brigaders – Purple Sweatshirt, plain white polo shirt and black skirt or trousers
  • Our badgework is made up of four sections- Spiritual, Physical, Educational, and Service. The girls do various activities within these sections from singing and dancing to crafts and baking which earns them badges which are presented at the end of the session at our Annual Display and Presentation of Awards.
  • Our Motto is Seek, Serve and Follow Christ
